What If Princess Peach Will Get Her Own Anime Series?

As a child, I loved playing as Princess Peach throughout her insanely emotional adventure known as “Super Princess Peach” on my pink Nintendo DS [48]. As an adult, I adore Princess Peach: Showtime! for its simplistic but varied gameplay, vibrant graphics, creativity, and a big step-up for her character as proven by the abilities she has in each outfit as she strives to save Sparkle Theatre [1] [44]. The overall experience has helped her shine about as brightly as a total solar eclipse [6] [14] [16] [20] [22] [42]. Do you know what else could help her highness flourish beyond her damsel-in-distress days? An official anime series licensed by Nintendo! My predictions for an anime series starring Rayman fell flat on their faces after Ubisoft’s limbless hero became as M-rated as Conker the Squirrel but about five times more extreme in the first season of Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix [41] [93] [94] [95] [96], a French-American animated series aimed at adults [31] [33], but things ought to be tame and quite child-friendly when it comes to predicting how an anime series starring a peachy princess that could be the modern anime equivalent of the ‘90s manga known as “Otenba Peach-hime” [68]. A brand new animated series starring Princess Peach can always consist of a different style of extraordinary animation if there were to be much more easy-going working conditions in the animation department [9] [18] [37] [63]. Alternatively, a modern anime style can always be on the pages of a new manga based on Princess Peach: Showtime! as the modern equivalent of Otenba Peach-hime [44] [68]. [69]

Wouldn’t an anime series starring Princess Peach seem outdated if it were to be based on Princess Peach: Showtime! and released several years after its success and possibly the release of Nintendo’s next console that is currently referred to as the “Switch 2” [44] [65[? Well, if you ask me, the game deserves a sequel, just like how Super Mario Galaxy got a sequel simply titled “Super Mario Galaxy 2” during the Nintendo Wii era [45] [46]. Moreover, a sequel to Princess Peach: Showtime! for Nintendo’s next console that is speculated to be the successor to the Switch ought to add about one or two new transformations, such as a pirate outfit for sailing a stormy stage and a spacesuit for a brief new take on the Super Mario Galaxy duology [45] [46]. Hopefully, the successor to the Nintendo Switch will provide some backwards compatibility, making Princess Peach: Showtime!, Super Mario Odyssey and so on completely compatible for treasured memory’s sake [44] [47]. If not, there ought to be an enhanced port of Princess Peach: Showtime! with some new features. It worked for Catherine: Full Body [15], right? In the meantime, let us continue to treasure the memories we have with the Switch from early 2017 to now [44] [47]. Besides, the Switch port of Sticky Business is now available nearly a year after the release and success of the PC port [24] [53]. [52]

It can be argued that an anime series based on the Legend of Zelda games is needed more due to the acclaim of the Legend of Zelda manga series [101]. Nonetheless, there is some potential to elevate Princess Peach’s empowerment even further in her own anime series. The same applies to a reboot of Angela Anaconda that ought to be established as a web series eventually [7] [87] [88], just like Helluva Boss and eventually, Lackadaisy [12] [13] [38] [39] [89] [90]. It is speculated that a direct sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be released around the time McDonald’s will sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts [40] [97] [98], so we shall at least have that to look forward to if there may not be an anime series starring Peach after all. Also this July, another collaboration between Hello Kitty and Tamagotchi will commence after our fellow kitties reflect on the Sanrio crew’s collaboration with Yu-Gi-Oh at McDonald’s that is about as quirky as the collaboration promoting Princess Peach: Showtime! at Kung Fu Tea [3] [26] [34] [66]. Moreover, the adorable Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano will finally be released in Japan and re-released in North America with some new features this August [75]. [3]

Let us continue to support positive portrayals of women in video games, along with women’s rights in real life [10]. In honour of Barbie’s 65th anniversary [86], which is also the 60th anniversary of Skipper’s debut [4], you can be anything [97] [98]. And do not forget to keep wishing Kitty White a happy 50th anniversary too [30]! Lastly, I wish the talented Margot Robbie all the best when it comes to producing a film based on Monopoly, along with a film based on The Sims [21] [81]. [71]

Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft - An Overdue Anime Adaption Raiding Netflix Soon

Calling all tomb raiders! Plenty of us may miss the 2013 times that were marked as “The Year Of Luigi” and a new origin of Lara Croft [12] [14] [26], but we know that there is still more to look forward to in the second half of 2023 and so on, including the tenth-anniversary celebration of Slender: The Arrival this Halloween season [31] [55], the first issue of Deadpool: Seven Slaughters this November [19], Disney’s Wish this Thanksgiving and a new anime series that has just been teased this week [31] [45]. It has been over a year since the announcement of an anime series based on the Tomb Raider franchise coming to Netflix [28] [49] [50]. By the name of “Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft”, the upcoming anime series has a lot of potential to bring the intelligent brunette bombshell into a new light for anime admirers, starting with its premiere in Japan [41] [42], aside from how the Japanese versions of the classic games’ consisted of reduced difficulty [9]. Rooting for female empowerment outside of women’s sports [16] [21], I shall bear the intensity of the teaser with you as my soul bears the quite unfortunate yet seemingly reasonable delay of Hazbin Hotel that will be available to watch on Amazon Prime in the beginning of 2024 [2] [4] [20].

Hentai would be my least favourite genre of anime, so please do not even think about it [27]! [41]

I know what some Final Fantasy fighters are thinking. Wouldn’t Lara’s appearance in the anime series be like her appearance in War of the Visions Final Fantasy Brave Exvius that bewitched us two years ago [34] [46]? I completely understand where they are coming from! But in this case, I am spellbound at how she will look in Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft [41]! Her design is heavily based on her appearance in Shadow of the Tomb Raider [8] [33]. The teaser begins with a rather tense moment of a shot of her holding her bow and arrow gradually sharpening [41]. No pun intended. The following moment shows another example of visual ecstasy as the sound of a heart besting drones on. Most impressively, the moment of her standing determinedly with her bow and arrow returns, focusing on her glare, then directly on the edge of her arrow that gets launched. The reason for the enriching visuals is that the production of the anime is by Powerhouse Animation, the same studio that created the animated series loosely based on the Castlevania franchise [24] [42] [47]. Aside from how remarkable the visuals are in the teaser [41], there will be hope for the series’ writing to excel as well, which might be hinted at in the second trailer that may also feature its exact release date.

Here is the classic incarnation of Lara in an anime style in one of the collaborations she did in honour of the 25^thanniversary of the Tomb Raider franchise back in 2021 [34]. [46]

Eat your heart out, Katniss Everdeen [35] [36] [37] [38]! [41]

Aside from some samples of exceptional animation in the teaser, let us reflect on what I have suggested for making the success of a Tomb Raider anime happen back in 2019 and 2021 [49] [50] [51] [52]. Aside from how Lara’s face in the teaser somehow reminds me of Korra from The Legend of Korra [1], I recall stating that her portrayal ought to be a balance of emotional and empowering [51] [52], no matter which dub the series will be watched in [49] [50]. In the teaser, there is a shot of Lara rising near a fire [41], which is a reminder of the memorable moment when she rises from almost drowning in Shadow of the Tomb Raider [33], which is a sign of that balance being taken into consideration in honour of a continuation. Her design shown in the teaser hints that the anime series is likely to be based on the third chapter of the Survivor timeline with a few differences at first [41], much like how the live-action film starring Alicia Vikander as Lara is based on the events of the other two chapters [40]. However, it was confirmed that the anime will be set after the events of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, potentially unifying the Survivor timeline with some adapted aspects of the other two [42], which is much more necessary to me as there has been some questioning when will the Survivor Lara merge into a “classic” incarnation, as hinted in her participation in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, Call Of Duty: Warzone 2.0 and Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile [30]. Surely, the next trailer will provide some more detail on the premise set sometime after Shadow of the Tomb Raider, including what awaits her during a road trip [41] [42].

There ought to be some new discoveries throughout Croft’s road trip [42]. This majestically surreal occurrence appears to be one of them. [41]

What else is there to say about the anime? Well, it has been confirmed that the anime series will be split into two seasons, starting with the first one [42]. Quite surprisingly, Lara will be voiced by Hayley Atwell in the English dub, who is known for playing the role of Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe [7] [13]. At some point in the anime series, a new incarnation of the character Zip from the original and Legend timelines will play a supporting role [43] [44]. Nonetheless, the grittiness of the forthcoming adaption ought to be another sample of anime that is not exactly colourful and cheery, compared to the magical girl vibes of Glitter Force Doki Doki and many of Hatsune Miku’s performances [10] [11]. Speaking of video game adaptions on Netflix, there might just be a satisfying conclusion to Sonic the Hedgehog’s most challenging adventure outside of his games in the third season of Sonic Prime [23]. It is likely that the anime series starring Lara Croft will be released in 2024, the same year when Hazbin Hotel will finally open and Littlest Pet Shop fans will rejoice for the grand return of the second generation of the franchise [5] [6] [18], thus never taking it for granted again [58]. It worked for the Bratz in honour of their 20th anniversary that was celebrated during the 25th anniversary of Tomb Raider, right [48] [49] [50] [53] [54]? During the wait for Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft alongside the hype for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered [29] [41], let us relish in more excitements in the second half of 2023, including the seventh episode of the second season of Helluva Boss [3] [15], Super Mario Bros. Wonder [25] [56] [57], Disney’s Wish and an animated adaptation of Scott Pilgrim’s crazy quest to win the heart of Ramona Flowers titled “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off” [22] [45].

As much as I deeply appreciate a shout-out from Puss In Boots or Stolas of the Ars Goetia [32], I can already appreciate the efforts of an upcoming anime starring Lara Croft by its teaser [41].
